A Little Something for the Weekend
Assalaamu-Alaykum (Peace be Upon you)
Alhumdulillah (all Praise belongs to Allah) it seems that the Muslims of UK are in for a treat this weekend.
First of all we have the Ansaar Football Events/Activities Day on Sunday 15th which is taking place at Birkdale High School on Wheelwright Lane, Dewsbury. Activities include archery, bouncy castle, rodeo, the football tournament and many more, together with an appearance by Sheikh Ramadhan Hajjaj Al-Hindawi. I have also been informed that they are still in need of volunteers, check out www.ansaar.org.uk for further details.
STOP PRESS: UNFORTUNATELY THE ANSAAR EVENT HAS JUST BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO HEALTH AND SAFETY FEARS OVER THE WATERLOGGED FOOTBALL PITCH. THE ANSAAR ORGANISATION WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE FOR THESE UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES AND FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.
And on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th, Zakariyya Masjid, situated on Peace Street, Bolton have extended the invitation to the people of UK for some intellectual and spiritual stimulation by attending their hugely popular Annual Youth Tarbiyah Conference. The line up is as follows (and no, I’m not joking!):
Sat 14th July: 7pm - Maghrib
Hadhrat Shaykh Yusuf Motala D.B
Shaykh Husain Taylor, Canada
Sheikh Abu Bakr Al Shateri, Saudi
Junaid Jumshed, Pakistan
Sun 15th July: 1.30pm - 8.15pm
Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq, Leicester
Shaykh Shabbir Menk, Zimbabwe
Shaykh Zahir, Birmingham
Shaykh Mahmood Chandia, Bolton
Sheikh Abu Bakr Al Shateri
Junaid Jumshed
So, an action packed Islamic weekend is ahead of us, let’s hope we can make the most of it by taking part.
May Allah accept the efforts of all those who have given their time and energy to make this possible. Ameen
Ma’as-salaam
