Charity in Ramadhaan

Assalamu-Alaykum (Peace be Upon you)

Well Ramadhaan steadily plods on (2 weeks have already finished!), and alhumdulillah (all Praise belongs to Allah), it seems that our hearts are already experiencing some of that tranquility associated with fasting and worshipping Allah more than usual.

It is most definitely a time to increase the good that we do and make a firm intention and practical effort to stay away from the bad. It is a time for charity, for the community, for giving and for patience, it is a time for remembering the poor and helping others with with some of the wealth that Allah has blessed us with.

In doing so, the Muslim can make a positive contribution to the community and society and also earn great rewards in the Akhirah (Hereafter).

In this respect, Masjid Al-Hidaya on Caledonian Road, Savile Town, Dewsbury (the one where Shaikh Hindawi came!) is now, through the donations of people serving the community via a number of initiatives. For more information, check out their website at www.masjidhidayah.co.uk.

By the grace of Allah the Masjid was completed recently at a cost of £425,000. However, the Masjid still requires £120,000 to repay the substantial amount of loans (Qarze Hasanah) they have. You can help by making a small donation of £10 today. For the cost of a pizza, Allah will give you a share in all the virtues generated in the Masjid. Please Click Here To Donate Now.

Alternatively, you can now complete a Standing Order mandate and give a small amount every month for the House of Allah – Click Here.

The Charity Number is 1107617 and should you wish to tune in, the Receiver Number: 454.812.

May Allah give us all the Taufiq (Divine aid) to give according to our capacity.

Ma’as-salaam

  1. If a begger comes at your door, don’t let him leave empty handed even if all you have is half a date!
