Just Another Cyclone?

Who is he that will Loan to Allah a beautiful loan? for (Allah) will increase it manifold to his credit, and he will have (besides) a liberal Reward. (Qur’an 57:11)

Assalaamu-Alaykum (Peace be Upon you)

As we have all been made aware, there has been a cyclone that has hit Bangladesh which has made people homeless and left them with nothing whatsoever.
According to various news reports, the storm has affected 1 million families and has taken the lives of over 3,100 people, with the death toll expected to rise.
After reading the news article on the BBC website, I found myself to be really affected. So much destruction, so many lives lost, so many lives hanging in the balance, so much damage caused – I thought to myself, ‘hang on, what have I done for these people? What about the people in other needy areas like Palestine and Darfur – what have I done for them?’

Within our busy lives just to take time out to see friends and family is hard, and then to take time to help others is even harder. But how about helping those who are helping those in need?
Alhumdulilah (all Praises belong to Allah) nowadays there a so many Muslim organisations which go out and bring aid to these disaster stricken areas and I feel we should try and help as much as possible, if we can’t help then at least we can donate towards this cause and also more importantly pray for them and remember them in our Dua’s (supplications).
Who knows the little we do here may be the means of our salvation in the Akhirah (Hereafter).
Below are just two links from which you can donate:

May Allah accept all our efforts.
