Al Hidayah Disability Awareness Meeting

Assalaamu-Alaykum – Peace be Upon you

I have just received confirmation that Masjid-e-Hidayah in Dewsbury has, together with local agencies, set up the Al Hidayah Support Network.

Masha-Allah (whatever Allah Wills) they are making a concerted effort to try and raise awareness about disabled people in the community by working in conjunction with local Ulema (Scholars), public sector organisations, charities, etc.

They are having a Disability Awareness Meeting on Thursday 16 October 2008 where they have invited local Madressahs (Islamic schools), special schools and ordinary people of the community to try and sit down and see what can be done to help all those people in need of disability services.

For further details please click here.  Here are some brief details:

Event: Al Hidayah Disability Awareness Meeting

Date & Time: Thursday 16 October 2008 – 10:30 am to 1:30 pm (Free lunch to be provided)

Location: Thronhill Lees Community Centre, 53 Brewery Lane, Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury, WF12 9DU

Please, if someone in yur family or someone that you know is disabled, then please try and come down or get them to attend.  Insha-Allah (with the Will of Allah) the more people who attend, the better service we can provide for our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate than us.

Ma’as-salaam – With Peace
