Assalaamu-Alaykum – Peace be Upon you

Insha-Allah (with the Will of Allah) I hope to be one of the millions making the Pilgrimage this year to the House of Allah.  The ‘Journey of a Lifetime’ awaits and I can’t wait until I am there, standing up and being counted by Allah with cries of ‘Labbaik!’ (’I am here!) emanating from my lips.

So from now until I leave insha-Allah there may be a few more things of Hidayah Blog about Hajj (!) and I kick it all off with the beautiful Hadith (tradition) of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

Whoever performs Hajj for the sake of pleasing Allah and therein utters no word of evil, nor commits any evil deed, shall return from it as free from sin as the day on which his mother gave birth to him

Bukhari, Muslim

May Allah give us all the ability to learn about Hajj and its rites and may He take us all to visit His House as soon as possible.
