The Pride of Allah

351071_allah_is_greaterAssalaamu-Alaykum – Peace be Upon you

Continuing the Hadith related to Hajj and the rewards associated with it, I present to ou this beautiful saying of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

This tradition is a classic example of the Mercy of Allah and how much He values His creation.  It also illustrates the importance of Hajj, and how, on the Day of Arafaat Allah the Greatest, through His infinite Mercy Allah is so pleased with the Hajjis performing Hajj that He sets free more souls from the Hell fire than on any other day.

There is no day in which Allah sets free more souls from the fire of Hell than on the day of Arafaat.  And on that day Allah draws near to the earth and by way of exhibition of His Pride remarks to the angels: “What is the desire of these servants of mine?”

  1. The revered scholar whose name is well trailed on this blog may Allah be pleased with him ameen is oft heard saying in his discourses on HaJJ “That to do Hajj is very easy…to become a Hajji is very hard…” To the more probing amongst us the hint in the message is not at the label “Hajji” which sadly is ten a penny!! but is directed at the change the spiritual cleansing of Hajj should invoke in all pilgrims…when a Hajji removes his Hajj Garment (Ihraam) as his Hajj Obligations draw to a close that removal symbolises all the old sinful hurtful and disobedient ways which are then being discarded and in its place a fresh garment of obedience, humility, piety and taqwa is worn… May allah make us all true Hajjis – Ameen

Bro Siddique, you well know my dislike for pompous labels – I hope on your return (inshallah) you will not be refering to your self as AL HAJJ Siddique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
